About the Event Assembly of First Nations (AFN) - Annual General Assembly
The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) Annual General Assembly (AGA) will be held on July 14-17, 2025 at the RBC Convention Centre in Winnipeg which is located on Treaty One lands, the original territories of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Anisininew, Dakota, Lakota, Dene peoples.
The RBC Convention Centre is located at 375 York Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 3J3.

Here is some information for you on how to get to Winnipeg, Manitoba and where you can stay. Please note that everyone is responsible for their travel, meals, registration fees and accommodation, unless you have been contacted by a representative of the AFN.

Registration
PRE-REGISTRATION BONUS
Avoid long line ups and be entered into the draw to win an awesome prize when you pre-register and pre-pay by July 14, 2025! Draw will take place July 17.
Where does your registration fee go?
Registration fees help to offset the direct costs of holding Chiefs Assemblies, including facility rentals, audio/visual equipment, interpretation services, webcasting, registration services, facilitators, translation, signage, Elder honorarium, and drum groups.
Registration Process
Photo identification will be requested at registration for Chief/Proxies and students.
All participants and groups are encouraged to pre-register and pre-pay, even if your registration is complimentary. Participants who pre-register/ pre-pay will have access to the Express Line for badge pick up at the event.
- Register Online at Credit cards accepted. You will receive a confirmation email once registered. Provide your confirmation number at the event for badge pick up.
- Register by email/fax. Complete the registration form included in this notice and fax it to 613-241-5808 or email [email protected]. Provide your confirmation number at the event for badge pick up.
To enter the Assembly, full registration and payment are required. On-site registration and payment are available.
Badge pick-up and on-site registration will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025, from 2:00pm– 8:00pm at the RBC Convention Centre. To avoid line-ups, all delegates are encouraged to pick up badges at this time.

Registration fees are non-refundable after July 4, 2025. An administration fee of $50 will apply to cancellations.
Photo identification will be requested at badge pick up for Chief/Proxies, students and media.

The Assembly of First Nations and Corporate Traveller have obtained discounted travel rates for any delegate planning to attend the Annual General Assembly.
